Big Transition News

It has been quite a while since our last update and we have some big news to fill everybody in on! We sent out a big life update to our supporters not too long ago but for anyone else that is reading this, we have a big transition coming up for our family, and it's not too far away.  In summary, Samantha and I have been feeling for quite some time that God has been in the works of doing something big in our lives. Through much prayer and council, we believe that God is moving us, after serving in Costa Rica since 2011, back to the USA.  This has not been an easy decision and has brought about almost every emotion that you can imagine. We have spent the entirety of our married life here, built our family here, fallen in love with the church that we serve at and made some very deep rooted friendships here through our ministry opportunities. September 2025 life and ministry update

The past few months have brought many challenges for our family, but through the difficulties, God's love, grace and provision has been ever present and a true source of comfort. We are so grateful for all the support and encouragement we have been receiving over the weeks from our sweet family in Christ both near and far.  One of Brandon's doctors from San Jose  came to visit our church this month In the month of June we had an emergency hospital visit for Samantha, and as many of you know, In the month of July, while finishing his sermon preparation, Brandon felt a pain in his neck that quickly escalated to unbearable. After a few weeks of pain management and doctor visits as we sorted things out with our insurance, he had a cervical fusion surgery done on August 6th. The herniated disk had been pinching a nerve in his left arm, and he is continuing to regain his strength and mobility since the operation. Back in Costa Rica--February 2025

Well into this new year, we are far overdue for an update here on the blog! It is hard to know how to summarize and share the highlights from the last 6 months, but overall we are so grateful for the time of furlough that we spent in Pennsylvania. It has been wonderful to be able to catch up with so many of you in person and give firsthand testimony as to how God has been working in the ministry in Costa Rica and in our family. Many of you so lovingly opened up your homes to share a meal, or met up for coffee to hear how God is moving and we will forever treasure these moments! Thank you, and praise the Lord for these much needed opportunities!  We loved having an extended time in the U.S., giving us the chance to experience things that we have missed over our time spent in the mission field.
